Optical Fiber Checker Visual Fault Locator
[OFC3]
$99.00

The new and improved Optical Fiber Checker Visual Fault Locator, low cost, high quality, efficient pen style visual fault locator. The Optical Fiber Checker is powered by two AAA batteries and comes with a compact carry case. The Optical Fiber Checker typically couples greater then 800uW of Laser light into singlemode fiber core, allowing for instant identification of fiber breaks, micro or tight macrobending, even through 3mm buffered fiber. The high coupled power, along with the use of the 635nm highly visible wavelength, makes the Optical Fiber Checker an excellent tool for optimizing splices, isolating a damaged connector on a patchcord, locating a broken fiber or splice in a splice tray, or highlighting overly tight cable ties in and around equipment racks. The unit operates in both in CW mode, or a flashing modulation mode for enhanced fault location capability in well lit areas.
